Girls Girls Girls

Girls Girls Girls.  I'm proud to be one, and I'm so grateful to be surrounded my so many incredible ones. Whether they be my closest friends I first met in high school, family members or women I've met online, I consider myself lucky to have had been supported and encouraged by them throughout my life, from the little things that appear insignificant to an outsider, to life-changing events. Sisterhood is important and a wonderful thing.

I'm happy to be a part of this age of 4th wave feminism, where progress is being made (slowly, but surely). As someone whose goal it is to work in the male-dominated industry that is film production, it makes me so proud to see more equality in the field - from shows that depict women supporting each other instead of competing against one another, to scriptwriters (both men & women) normalizing certain traits that are usually associated with one gender - destroying stereotypes to portray more realistic and diverse male and female characters. There's still work to be done, but there are things to be happy about & celebrate too.

This topic is something extremely relatable in the blogosphere. I've seen women bloggers grow their blog in to a business, and I'm happy to be a part of this sisterhood: girls supporting girls, celebrating eachother's successes & achievements, working together instead of against. Once again, it isn't perfect - but the fact we're striving to be kinder, more accepting & supportive is an essential step in the right direction.

The white slogan tee - a versatile wardrobe essential, a fashion trend and potential political statement. I've always underestimated the importance of a white tee - it easily integrates into any outfit, emitting that parisienne vibe that we all love. Despite being part frenchie, the effortlessly cool french style has never been something I've mastered. I am loving the white slogan tee trend at the moment: an inexpensive piece that will always come in handy. I finally invested in a good pair of cropped flared jeans - a little late in the world of fashion no doubt , but the perfect fit, length and quality - ticking so many boxes that my other jeans do not. They truly hug my body in all the right places and are so flattering.

These pictures are possibly my favourite blog ones ever - it's definitely worth travelling a little to a location that you know will deliver that aesthetically pleasing lighting and backdrop. It's also one of those outfits that just feels right, where everything seems to fall together quite nicely. I will definitely be wearing this little combination again soon.

Whoever is reading this is probably, like myself, still thinking of the horrible events that happened earlier this week in Manchester. Although it's difficult to carry on with our lives knowing that so many families worlds have come crushing down, we must carry on. Let's continue spreading love & kindness - love will always win.
