We're back with both of us in the same post! It's been a while, I know. But with a few drafts waiting to be posted, we thought we'd put two posts worth of content in one. Once we're settled down a little in England, hopefully we'll be able to shoot some blog pictures with both of us in the same frame, which is something we've always wanted to do but just haven't been able to, from lack of material.
Midi pleated skirts. I was wary of investing in them at first, for fear that I wouldn't know what to pair them with. But last year I bought a midi green-blue pleated skirt from Zara (worn here by Holly), and after experimenting with different pieces I was pleasantly surprised at how versatile they could be. For work, with a blouse and smart jacket or blazer. For a more laid back look, with a cropped jumper and trainers. For a day out, some ankle boots will do just fine.
In these looks, we both went for a day out kind of look. I paired this Zara dark blue midi skirt (which was in the sale!) with a Mango sheer white blouse and an embroidered sheer jacket from Zara. To complete the look, I wore my beloved Asos box bag, these vintage Next sock boots and a M&S belt. Holly wore this green-blue Zara midi pleated skirt, (which is a lot heavier than the one I am wearing) with a Zara floral-print shirt and Zara biker jacket. Wearing a belt really does complete the whole look, and as some high waisted skirts aren't always fitted, a belt will help make the look appear a little more polished.
