You know when you're browsing the shops and you come across something that at first glance is ugly, but then you have the sudden urge to try it on and WHAM it's your new favorite thing? How could I ever have thought that this glorious sunshine ruffle blouse is 'ugly'? Although it's still a little too hot here for blouses (still topping 30' here in south-west France), I waited for the cooler evening air to shoot this outfit. I discovered this mustard yellow blouse in Zara, and although the color was what originally attracted me, I soon fell for the pussy-bow detailing and the ruffles. My Mum then told me to buy it...so I did.
I've only worn this blouse with high waist skirts so far, but I'm pretty confident it will go with jeans too. It's a statement piece, so to balance out the outfit I paired it with this corduroy black a-line skirt from Zara and then added a belt to complete it. I have yet to buy my own belt (I may have borrowed this from my Mums wardrobe), but I can confirm adding a belt to an outfit completes it. It makes the overall outfit look a little more 'put together'. Hopefully I'll get my hands on some over the knee boots soon, and together this outfit will be the perfect autumn look. These vintage sock boots from Next are just perfect for this look too. With my new mini khaki bag from Zara, this has to be one of my favorite recent outfit shoots. What do you think? Summer x
