Channeling Barb from Stranger Things in todays look! I've been listening to the beautiful soundtrack non stop lately, and it was a matter of time before I wore an 80s inspired outfit. You may notice the unfamiliar backdrop of these pictures, as they were taken here in North London where I'll be living for a couple of months (hopefully- more about that in a future post once I've stopped panicking about it all!)
Three years of blogging and this is the first time I've worn my glasses in pictures! My eyesight is pretty bad in one eye so I've always had to wear glasses or contact lenses daily. I usually opt for contacts when shooting pictures but today I thought my new Oliver Peoples glasses would be the perfect accessory, contributing to my overall 80s-ish inspired look (and a lot prettier than my old secretary like glasses, not a great look on me!). This Zara striped blouse is definitely a statement piece, with a button down detail at the back and an elasticated waist. I personally love the colours and the fit, albeit the fabric is quite thick so it can be a bit tricky to wear in some looks (not very suitable for layering!). That being said, I'm pretty confident it would go well with an a-line high waisted skirt or some high rise black skinnies. I dressed down the top buy wearing these Zara mom jeans, they're very comfortable and a great fit too, the length is perfect. All I need now is a waist belt so my belly button can stop peeping through. I went for these Next vintage sock boots, but my docs or Stan Smiths look pretty good with this look too. What do you think? Let me know, and remember to leave your links too!
Hope everyone is having a lovely week, and all those who went to LFW hope you had a great time!
