Finally a new outfit post. I know, it's been quite a while and believe me I've been itching to take outfit posts everyday this summer!
I recently went to La Rochelle for a few hours. The beautiful town is about an hours drive from where I live, so every summer we drive up there on different occasions to enjoy the weather and walk along the coast line. It's very popular amongst tourists pretty much all year round, but it's always a wonderful atmosphere.
When it comes to dressing for the 30+ heat, I've learnt a few tricks over the years. This zara white crochet top with frills is great for the summer: the crochet detail allows a light breeze and the fabric isn't clingy or heavy so we can avoid those annoying underarm stains. I try to avoid going in the sun during peak hours as I burn so easily, (even when I'm bathed in 50+ suncream!) so when we have a day out I try to wear a light long sleeved piece like this. I paired the top with a button down demin a-line skirt from Topshop (which I borrowed from Holly). A-line skirts are my key pieces in the summer, their fit allows you to stay cool. That being said, on this day I decided to wear a underwear-like shorts because I didn't want to alarm people as I took pictures in awkward positions, ahem.
Summer is wearing:
