Although I consider myself to be more of a personal style blogger, I can't deny that I do fall in love with some fashion trends, which I then attempt to incorporate into my personal style!
The trends for this spring/summer are no exception, and there are a number of pieces I can't wait to get my hands on! Some I've been eyeing for a while, but for most of them the weather is way too cold to wear them yet! I thought I'd share some pieces that I'm hoping to get my hands on soon!
(I do not own any of these images.)
The Slip Dress
I tried this on a while ago, a beautiful romantic slip dress with lace details on the hem. It almost looks like a nightdress! The floral print, as always, a must for spring, and I love the darker colors as they give more of a romantic feel to the dress. I love the length too, just over the knees, and the simplistic fit . I can picture myself wearing something like this in the golden evening sunlight in the summer!
It's crazy to think a few years ago I was terrified of showing skin from my back, shoulders and chest. After suffering from body ache for a number of years, it's now a lot better than it once was, so I've been buying a lot more pieces that show off my skin. Although I take great care in covering up my skin during the summer (I turn pink!), the off-the-shoulder trend has a free and carelessness feel to it, a feeling that embodies the greatest season of the year.
The Bomber Jacket
Although I already have one floral bomber jacket, there's no harm in having another one, right? I've always loved bomber jackets as they add so much to a casual outfit. As 90% of my wardrobe is from Zara, I couldn't help see these ones when I popped in the shop the other day.
Not only do they have 'plain' color ones, they have a few with lovely floral prints and color blockdetails on them, perfect for wearing other a dress or with jeans.
Frills & Ruffles
I have to admit I wasn't too fond of the ruffle details when they first hit the shops, but I've seen a few pieces with minimal ruffles and it has really grown on me! I tend not to wear tops with too much fabric detailing on the front, as it looks a little unappealing on me, but I love pieces with ruffle details on the sleeves or necklines!
I love bell sleeves, on 3/4 sleeves or long sleeves, crop tops and dresses, they are a perfect little touch to spring outfits, adding charm and visual interest.
