I wish I could show you all just how cold it was when we took these pictures. It was our second day in New York, I was wearing 2 pairs of tights (thermal) and a long sleeve top under my chunky jumper and my winter coat, yet the wind still hit my skin hard, making it difficult to stand still and snap pictures without complaining every 5 seconds. It was worth it, though. The high-line, a re-furbished abandoned train track allows you to see the streets of Manhattan from above over the course of several blocks. It's always hard to take in the city and appreciate the architecture on ground level, so seeing the streets from above was great, not only was it more calm, but the 'high-line' itself was so pretty. There were several areas with benches, allowing people to sit down for awhile and rest, perfectly placed to watch the people, cars and city go by.
