On our final day in New York we walked nearly 20k- we were in a lot of pain! It was completely worth it, though, we wanted to see as much as the city as possible. It was 5 days before Christmas, so the streets were completely packed with people. We managed to find a small area with beautiful fairy lights twirled around every tree, it was just so pretty! It would seem that we got there just at the right time, I feel like these pictures perfectly capture the late afternoon light and the festive atmosphere.
Summer and I have returned to our flat as we are now starting our final semester at University. It's all very strange and a bit overwhelming, after coming back from Canada after 4 months, & having a great couple of weeks over Christmas with our family, going back to reality is pretty difficult. I'm a very emotional person, which means that not only do little things make me want to cry, it also means I get very homesick. I don't think it's something I'll ever get over- I always feel at my best when I'm surrounded by my family. It's strange considering that this is my 3rd year away from home, my 3rd year living in my own flat. Does anyone else still get homesick?!
Hope you're all having a good week, and for those of you who are also finishing their degrees this year, let's do this!!
