Tommy Hilfiger in Central Park

I hope everyone is enjoying the festive season! I left Canada on Christmas Eve and arrived back home on Christmas morning, my body clock out of wack and everything feeling so surreal. It's so nice to be back home after over 4 months spent on the other side of the world, and it was an amazing experience I can't wait to share. Holly & I will write a post about our exchange trip soon!

Before we returned home, we had a few days to spare so we made the most of it and went to New York! It was our first time in the city, and we wanted to do and see everything we could possibly do in such a short amount of time. I don't know when I'll be able to return to the U.S, I've been very lucky to have been on three different occasions in the past 15 months, every visit an unforgettable experience. We only had three days in New York, and to be honest I don't think we had time to process it all. An incredible city filled with incredible people.

These pictures were taken on our first day, in Central Park. It was a bit chilly, so I decided to dress appropriately with an Urban Outfitters turtle neck jumper and my Tommy Hilfiger trench coat. I found this trench coat for $70 (reduced from $300?!) in an outlet mall in Florida back in April. Although it isn't a heavy lined coat, it keeps the cold gusts of wind away. Not to mention the fact it has a hood and it's in my favorite color!  It always smartens up any look, which is what I was going for here. I wore my 'smart' trousers from Zara, and my beloved ankle boots from Topshop. For this trip, Holly & I decided not to bring a huge city bag along with us, so we wouldn't end up lugging it around the city. My mini ASOS box bag is perfect, as I can somehow fit my purse, phone and a bottle of water in it.
Happy holidays! Summer x
