It's been nearly 1 month since we got back from Orlando Florida, and needless to say I miss it so much already, except for the heat rash. See the redness around my ankles? Yeah. (thank heavens for aloe vera!) Some days I wake up expecting to be back in the room I stayed in, with the sunlight shining through the window, the air already humid despite the air con. Ahh, it was wonderful. I would do anything to be back there right now, driving around whilst listening to classic rock on the radio, my family all silent, exhausted from the chaotic day. Stopping by Denny's on the way home to buy a Peanut butter flavored milkshake... On this day, we decided to drive to Sarasota which is about an hour and a half away from Orlando. Florida is similar to France in the sense that you have to drive around a lot to get anywhere, but it wasn't too bad. Time flies by pretty quickly when you have palm trees and blues skies to gaze at. As Holly mentioned in a previous post, we only stayed at the beach for about 2 or 3 hours, which was not enough time.
The bright sunlight was blinding, making me squint even with my sunglasses and a hat on. The soft white sand and slight breeze put me into a peaceful, serene state. Nothing beats the feeling of sunbathing on a beach. Sand between your toes, the constant crushing sound of the waves, some Lana Del Rey music & a good book to keep you company. Here I am wearing this lovely yellow smock dress from Zara. I wasn't too sure about it at first, but Holly told me to buy it, and I'm so happy I did. I love the 3/4 sleeves and the back details, it's the perfect dress to wear to the beach! And the fabric is gorgeous. I will probably do another post later in the summer, with more pictures capturing the beautiful detailing of the dress. Summer xx
